Very interesting. I would add consistency as a hallmark. Even lesser vintages are quaffable. Did anyone notice a difference between the 750 and 1500 bottles?

The woman serving wines is charming Maylis de Laborderie, cellar master since September 2013.

What did you taste? 2014 is excellent for the price.

Yes she was very charming and knowledgeable.
The wines showed very well.
We had about 6 or 7 different vintages, some of the others took detailed notes.
My personal favorite was the 2010.

2013, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2007, 2006, 1981. In 2013 LL made only one vat of La Lagune; it was 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. It did not taste like a La Lagune. 2012 will be quite good, better than the reasonable but unexciting 2001. 2010 is a powerful wine that will be outstanding in 15-20 years. 2007 is surprisingly nice with the typical LL floral nose. The 2006 was vegetable in the nose and, according to Maylis de Laborderie, not the same as she has tasted recently from 750s. The freshness of the 1981 was a big surprise to me. I have not drunk this vintage for around 15 years and expected it to have much less fruit.

Very nice indeed of Caroline Frey to let you taste so many vintages!

2010 is my personal favorite too but 2014 isn't far away. For the price it's a hell of a buy in 2014.

I am loving these videos! Great to see the gang in action!

I know you didn't taste it during this visit, but how is the 2009 La Lagune and how does it compare with the 2010 and 2012?

I have not tasted the 2009 La Lagune. I asked Maylis de Laborderie about it. She said that she did not include it in the tasting because they had so few bottles left.
