At Schiphol at the moment. let me know if you want few bottles of the 2006 Château Duhart-Milon, at ONLY 306 euros a bottle.

Doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I am not one to pay $100 for a bottle of wine ordinarily but you can buy the 2000 for less than that. And that would be one of the more pleasurable wines I've ever had.

There seems to me to be a premium for some reason on more recent vintages of many fine Bordeaux--often regardless of the wines' numeric score. It can't be due to provenance given the normal premium given for scarcity and aging of older bottles.

Duhart went through the roof for a while, riding on Lafite's coattails. Maybe the folks at the Schipol duty free didn't get the memo that that bubble has popped?
