Château Talbot St. Julien 3eme GCC 2003: More refined and fresh on the nose than the Tronquoy. Lots of ripe, red fruit, red peppers, thyme, cedar and tobacco spotted. On the palate a real treat. Still a notch of youthful, naughty cream amidst tons of pure cherry and red berry. Spice, fully integrated oak, a lovely acidity and ripe tannins towards the long and lingering finish. A vibrant and fascinating St. Julien. A point! 93 points
