Everythings will be alright tonight.
Another very excellent 2013 Terres de Méditerranée from Dupéré-Barrera.
An excellent, but not worth if price, 2004 CdP Henri Bonneau Marie Beurrier.
A 1999 Clos Haut-Peyraguey that I brought back from France, is very medium vintage Sauternes, but shrooms, apricots, peaches, grilled oak.
And a 2013 Marius Vin de Pays d'Oc white, from Chapoutier, dry, mineral, light, lemon, flowers, quaffer, the perfect summer white.

An Henri Bonneau? pretty awesome.
I think the last time we had one was 10-15 years ago.
They don't show up randomly at stores so much.

I remember when you brought a Rousseau to a dinner in NYC, AKR, it must have been about 11 years ago.

For some reason I can't remember that dinner. Although I remember finding a Bonneau on the shelf of a store.
My impression was that those were always allocated, held back for good customers. So it was weird to just see one.
That must have been the one I brought.
IIRC it tasted like a Pegau, but just more expensive.

I definitely remember it, it would have been somewhere between 2002 and 2004.

That 2004 Bonneau Cuvée Marie Beurrier was nice last night, with all the rasberries, kirsch cherries, white pepperpcorns aromas, and lots of ripe grenache kirsch, dusty, Sand long final In mouth. But very expensive and let say I agree with my father who drank it with me, the 1995 La Lagune we had not so long ago was more impressive and complete.

I am not a fan of the movement in the Rhone of bottling up tete du cuvees.
It takes the best juice away from the regular grand vin.
Chile is doing this too. So the wines may still have the same labels as they did 20 years ago.
But the quality of the grapes isn't the same, and they don't age as well.
It also creates craziness among collectors.
At least stalwarts like Vieux Telegraphe and Vieux Donjon have resisted, although the former's price at the behest of Kermit Lynch has been marched up into luxe cuvee territory.
