I got a message thAt it was JimHow's birthday this week. So i guess it is probably right, so happy birthday to my friend Jim. One more year for you is the same as for the 1989 Lynch, just an improvement I guess.

Tonight, 2012 Ultreia St-Jacques Bierzo. Medium color, nice mencia grape nose, flowery, earthy, pink peppercorn, dark red berries and some oak. Fresh nose too. In mouth, Medium power, with light oak, fresh cherries, spices and oak. Medium tannins, fresh and earthy. Good length. Original, different, excellent.tn: 90.

That's a region I've not had in a long time.

I think the last one I had was Jose Palacios? Petals or something.

======

Popped in to Garnets hunting for a small grower bubbly the wife likes.

(3 other stores this afternoon didn't have it)

NV Paul Laurent, lemony and dry.

Seems hard to find out west.
