TN: 1999 Grivot Volnay Bossieres

I am very happy that the 1999 Premier Cru Cotes Nuits reds have finally come around. The 1999 Grivot Volnay Bossieres is a gem of wine. The balance is perfect, the bouquet inviting, and the finish appropriately long. Lucie loved the pronounced Volnay dustiness. After suffering through a 2011 Evening Land PN last night, the Grivot we were delighted to be reminded of the greatness of Pinot Noir. stefan 92. Lucie 91-92.

Thanks for the report, and I like Grivot's style too. But lately, for no reason, I can't convince myself to open a Bourgogne.

And, for vineyards around Beaune and south of Beaune, I'm pretty sure Volnay is in Côte de Beaune.
