What are your thoughts on these 2012 Oregon wines:

Colene Clemens
Patricia Green
St. Innocent

Thanks.

I bought St. Innocent but have not tasted any. I buy from them every vintage. 2012 is a bigger styled vintage. Go for it Jim.

I think it is hard to go wrong on the 2012 St. Innocent PNs. You'll like the style of this vintage.

I have not tasted any 2012 Patty Green PNs and have not tasted any wines from Colene Clemens.

Anyone have a summary of recent Oregon Pinot vintages? Maybe from 2007-2012?

There's lots of buzz about the 2011s.

I don't have a lot of data points on the 2011, but my experience would not suggest a reason for "buzz," unless it's from the retailers who are trying to unload their 2011s in between the strong 2010 and 2012 vintages.

I was thrilled with 2011 at St I, stefan less so.

2007 initially lean but at a good peak now
2008 structured and potentially great
2009 ripe and early to mid drinkers
2010 low yield and well balanced
2011 may end up like 2007 down the road. leaner and high acid
2012 ripe and very good, mid term agers
2013 and 2014 not yet tasted but appears to be very high quality from skilled winemakers, others variable

Good description by Glenn, except I disagree on the 2011. To me they are thin and acidic. I do not think that they will ever amount to much. Blend them at the table with '09 or '10 from the same vineyard. '07 was not a very good vintage, but '07s were decidedly better than the '11s from the beginning.

I ordered 2 bottles each of:
2012 St. Innocent Justice
2012 St. Innocent Freedom Hill
2012 St. Innocent Momtazi

What are these, about 14.5%?

Sounds about right, Jim. I am not at home to check what the labels say.

Justice and FH need time. Momtazi a bit less.
