Ok but ordinary. Light oaky and herb nose, with a grapey, wood, dry cherries taste. Medium long aromatiques herb final, but light. Tn: 84.

A sad day for Paris, and any people who are for love, tolerance, friendship. Hard time, tears, but we are with you.

I'm assuming this is from the Rioja general area? I really have not tasted a bad or even average wine from the region. Now I realize that what makes its way across the Atlantic is not a random selection of wines since there is a lot of filtering that is happening before someone spends the money to ship something 3000-6000 miles, but its a lovely vintage for the Spanish wines of that area.

And generally speaking, I think if one likes the profile of aged bdx, they would like many traditional Rioja's. I don't post notes on those here (check WB for comments on those) but am generally sampling a few every month, and laying more down, of 2010.

what a great vintage globally though. hard to think of areas that are not at least good.

sort of like 1990.
