- 2005 Château Pape Clément - France, Bordeaux, Graves, Pessac-Léognan (11/15/2015)
Black. Nose opened to show black and red fruits, hint of anise. Taste was young, tannins are not intrusive, but present. Mouthfilling young Bordeaux. All you want it to be and just a hint of what it will. Won by acclaim a 10 year tasting of 2005 Bordeaux. (96 pts.) - 2001 Pride Mountain Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve - USA, California, Napa Valley (11/15/2015)
Deep garnet. Nose was initially roasted coffee, but with airing black fruits, richness, nose filling, young still. Taste was a bit smoother than the last tim, suggesting it is just entering its drinkability window. Nice. (95 pts.) - 2005 Château du Tertre - France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Margaux (11/15/2015)
Black Garnet. The surprise of the 2005 Bordeaux tasting. Nose was rich, coffee, black fruits, hint of oak. Taste was smooth, young, full of potential. (93 pts.) - 2011 Aubert Chardonnay Carneros - USA, California, Napa / Sonoma, Carneros (11/15/2015)
First of this bottling for me. I suppose it is like a second wine. Pale yellow. Nose was typical Aubert, balanced oak treatment, but still evident, medium to big weight, vanilla, lemon, orange cream. Taste was similar, very good. (93 pts.) - 1968 Musso Sebastiano Barbaresco Riserva - Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Barbaresco (11/7/2015)
Pale amber. Nose was surprising mix of a medium weight sherry, some sweet fruits hinted at,some slight caramel. Taste was very good, fruits hanging on, smooth, mellow, very good overall and a great surprise as 1968 wasn't the best year. 47 yo! (85 pts.) - 2004 Shafer Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select - USA, California, Napa Valley, Stags Leap District (10/23/2015)
Black garnet. Nose needed a little airing but my oh my when it did open, perfume of Cabernet. Taste was rich , young, black fruits, anise. Yum! (96 pts.)

Harry,
Thanks for sharing these notes.
My visceral reaction: compare the points you attributed to the price you paid (thinking Ch. du Tertre here).
Vive Bordeaux !

A very wide array of wine there. I don't think I've had a Pride in like a decade. When I was in NYC everyone loved them and it showed up all the time!
