Birthday evening

It was my birthday this week, so invited a few friends with their kids yesterday. Slidding on snow in the afternoon, back at our house after to order sushis and enjoy a few wines. Nothing with high reputation, but very good wines anyway.
2013 Leon Beyer Pinot Gris was very dry for that type of grape, honey, flowers, tropical fruit. Light richness with a very dry final. I like that type of "whisp" on final. Tn: 87.
2009 Leon Beyer Riesling Les Écaillers was even dryer on style, full of lemongrass, minerals, white peaches, very Beyer in style. Good acids, petroleum. Very straight. Tn: 89.
2012 Chateau Charmes-Godard is a nice oily white from Bordeaux. Floral, honey, light bitterness, with green lemon and pears. I like that style. Tn: 89.
We also had a Laherte Frère Ultrabrut Champagne, made mostly of Pinot Meunier. Rich, pears, ginger, spices. Bread crust, vety invaded with bubbles. Very good. Tn: 90.
A very nice evening.
Tonight, a small 2013 Faiveley Mercurey La Framboisière, very light red, light spices, light oak, red berries, light rasberries. In mouth, aerial, easy to enjoy, but if i compare that small Bourgogne to the small Bordeaux (2012 Chateau Bonseigneur) I had last Friday, I prefer the Bordeaux. Tn: 85.
