Everything does seem perfect. But I can't help wonder if the 89 Lynch Bages will be willing to make an appearance after its repeat run-ins in years past with the 82 Pichon Lalande in our nation's capital???

Perfect, I'm bringing Italian, two Campania. Montevetrano and San Gregorio Taurasi Riserva.

What Montevetrano vintage, Patrick? We could bring another to compare and contrast.

I was thinking either the 2000 or 2003 Montevetrano, Tom. I think I have the 02 as well.

Is anyone else coming that hasn't paid yet? Guarantee is due Monday the 28th.

I just checked the cellar, I can't find the Montevetrano vintages above which I think must be off-site, but I did find the 2001 Montevetrano, so I will bring that in addition to the Taurasi.

Looks like the "sweet sixteen" convention is shaping up nicely!

Since we are at an Italian restaurant, I am tentatively thinking about a couple of Brunellos - a 1999 Livio Sassetti and a 2001 Ciacci Piccolomino. Subject to change, of course.

mmmm I was just looking to order the 2010 Ciacci Piccolomino and other 2010 Brunellos from Zachy's.

I purchased that in 97,99 and 01, and thought they were all good. I think it tends to be a bit on the modern side and approachable young with lots of fruit. I'm guessing that the 2010 would be very good, given the vintage.
