in the new hedonists gazette which apparently was uploaded over the weekend, he raved (again) about the 2009's.

He makes the 1982 comparison again, saying it's a 'more consistent' modern version of 1982. But was 1982 really as sweet and confected as 2009 was? And as high-alcohol and big?

I actually think 2009 is probably going to turn out a bit overrated.

+1, big time. I own a 10-pack of the 2009 GPL, so I have some serious skin in the game, but I would be shocked, shocked I tell you (and delighted) if in April 1989 the 1982 GPL tasted like the 2009 did at Ripple last month.

Side note, hard to believe the 2009's are 6.5 years old already...
