Good deal if you know you will amortize the subscription/initiation across many trips. We've chartered small planes for inter-island paddling events. Way better than commercial in terms of hassle, parking etc., but still have to be there well ahead of departure and then wait around until they ready to weigh you and go.

Ha, yes, I couldn't exactly say "unemployed drifter".
I got into the JetSmarter private jet thing last year, when it was less than half the price it is today. Went to visit Alex on one of the jets. It's been pretty fun so far.
