Well I'm thankful in many ways that the prices are way too high. There are acouple of lesser wines that I'll get to say I bought something and search for the value wines not that I need anything. Tour Saint Christophe,Haut Brisson,d'Aighuile,du Tertre and maybe Malescot. If anyone sees anything else on this list that might be semi value let me know. Nic I'm hopeful Quebec's SAQ release pricing is more favourable but I'm not holding my breath.

Those prices are nuts. Perhaps in a few years the euro will be lower and you can scheme up some way to self import, or the local monopoly will reload at lower prices.

Come on dstgolf, show me how wealthy you are, and pick a case of Pavie!

Don't worry, Québec is always in competition with Ontario, so our prices should beat yours and be higher!

Like Cat Stevens song: ooooh baby, it a wild World!

Nic,

After the Brexit vote and instability introduced to the markets I'll be very conservative going forward until things stabilize. Not having a pension and being too close to hanging up the shingle I don't need to spend thousands on 2015 overpriced futures offerings. There is plenty in the cellar and like David G no reason to jump in knowing 20 yrs from now I'll be 79 and not sure what side of the grass I'll be on by then. If the Euro stays low these might get cheaper in the future and we'll see what happens. No Pavie or Pichons for me this time around unless the SAQ comes out with bargain basement release pricing like they did in 2000.

Yes, we won! 90% of the wines are more expensive in Québec.

Malartic Lagraviere at 95$, Calon Ségur at 149 $, very ridiculous.

Ha!
So is there a way for you Canadians to buy in the US and then ship or transport abroad as that might be a good way to circumvent the crazy tariffs?

Nic,

Compare the two price lists and there are some issues cheaper on the Quebec side. Tour Saint Christophe $43 in Ontario and $37 in Quebec is one that I`ll buy in Quebec. Regardless the prices are silly and needless to say I still dove in today picking up 7 cases of mainly lesser lights which will usually show well earlier especially in a good vintage.

Tour Saint Christophe X 24
Cantemerle 6
Malescot 6
la Veille Cure 6
DÀiguilhe 6
du Tertre 6
Malarctic Lagravier 6
Paloumey 6
Saintayme 6
Belle-Vue 6
le Coteau 6

The 09 Paloumey has been impressive and I hope the 15 is as good. I know nothing other than what the reviewers wrote on Saintayme and le Coteau Saint Emillion and Margaux respectively both rated 90-92 pts for $31cdn. We`ll see.....last tour of Bourdeaux Futures for me...gauranteed!!!!
