The bottle appears to be in great shape, spinning capsule, the cork looks good.

Ruby red, light fading at the rim.
Lots of tobacco, cigar box, spiciness. Medium bodied. Very nice out of the gate.

I've always liked this wine, I have a couple of bottles in the cellar still, looking forward to your report.

I've liked it also with only a single bottle left. My last note was from a couple of years ago and suspected it was a little past peak and starting to fade.

Yes, it is not what I would call an exciting bottle of wine. Perhaps a day or two past its prime. This seems to have been a well-provenanced bottle. It is smooth and aged from an outstanding vintage from the golden decade of Bordeaux. It has that nice tobacco, coffee, spicy character we like. Medium bodied. I like this aged Chasse Spleen, and I like the youthful, vigorous, true-to-form 2010 Chasse Spleen. They are both excellent in their own ways. 92 points.

Haven't had that in like forever but it was super as a teenager.

Chasse Spleen makes great stuff. I love their little mottos on the bottles.

I have always found the Chasse Spleen is my tell-all wine. It tells how the vintage is going and if it is ready to drink.

Need some nice Old Amsterdam cheese.
Both sound good to me.

Can anyone comment on the 2003 Moulis wines in general?
