2002 Pontet Canet
In a word, delicious. Classic wine and very representative of the 2002 vintage. I love the acidity in these '02's. Quickly disappeared.
2000 Cantemerle
Very Margaux with red berries on the nose carrying through to the finish, although a bit hollow in the middle.
2000 Sociando Mallet
Very closed and didn't budge despite being decanted. Opened with a cordier-like funk that never left the wine. Day two, same funk and unforgiving. An off bottle for sure.
2000 Moulin Saint Georges
I underestimated this wine about a year ago and I am beginning to think the 2000's just need more time. This bottle certainly hit all of the right notes. Wonderful St. Emilion. The superior craftsmanship in this wine is very evident.
