What red Bordeaux you drink on a warm day?

Today, it was warm here. I couldn't convince myself to open a red Bordeaux. I hesitated a lot in front of a 2012 Moueix négociant Pomerol, but finally opened a Bourgogne from Michel Prunier. A good choice but...

What Bordeaux would you open and enjoy, on a very warm sunny day?

We drink all kinds of Bdx on warm days. Inside we have AC, of course, and outside we eat under ceiling fans after jumping into the pool to cool off. We keep the bottles cool with covers taken from the deep freeze. Sometimes we partake of Bdx from plastic wine glasses in the pool, though more often we drink Champagne while in the water.

I drink Bordeaux year round, temps have no bearing on my choices.

Like stefan, we're in/out of the pool constantly in the summertime.

It helps when its villainously hot 105F or so.

At least its dry.

I probably chill my red bdx more than normal people as a result.

Anything on the drinking list in the next few days gets put in the fridge.

Whites will be served from there, with a freezer sleeve around them.

Reds might get pulled an hour earlier, and opened and if needed double/decanted. Usually they will be get up to 60F or so.

I guess it would be better to have lighter / medium / smaller vintages of red bdx.

But it seems like I don't have many of that nature.

I should really just keep more Chianti, Rioja, Beaujolais around as those seem more summertime enjoyable to me.

Also we glug back a lot of Cameron Hughes whites. They are commercially styled -- ie no steely minerally Chablis clones here -- but I find them appealing.

The SO likes rose (which I think is a ripoff given what I know about its manufacture) and sangria (probably the same thing, since we rarely ever make it homemade). I'll give her credit though - she picked out a nice one for lunch yesterday to go with salmon and a light fish soup
