Too bad, Jim.

We had an unusual experience today--a corked Oregon PN from a quality producer. It was a 2012 Domaine Serene Yamhill Cuvee. Fortunately, it was at a restaurant that had another bottle that was fine. stefanJr said that the good Oregon producers monitor their corks very carefully. St. Innocent spends about $2 per cork for its good PN and does all sorts of testing of them.

Ah well, this Brunello is very delicious.
I think this was either a Stefan or Tom-in-DC recommendation.

This Brunello is delicious, albeit not complicated. I hope I didn't pay too much for it. But it is nice though, a wine that would really shine in a nice Italian restaurant.

Should have been $30-35, Jim.

Could be, Glenn. Mark and Vickianne came to stefanJr"s for dinner last Sunday. I don't hang out on Facebook so did not see the picture.

I really liked that Poggio Salvi Brunello last night, too bad it was my only bottle and Zachy's doesn't have any more in stock.
It was really smooth.

W.H Frank in New York - $95
HDH - $100

Those are the cheapest... The rest are 110 and above...

Looks like those might be the prices for the reserve bottling CV?
This is the label of the wine I drank last night.

I don't have pro either but I see a number of shops in the metro NY area showing the 2010 ranging from $30.59 - $54.99 per 750ml

http://m.wine-searcher.com/find/villa+p ... y/2010/usa

What'd you pay at Zachys?

Even with pro, CT shows the cheapest price to be 30.59 at Wine in Due Time, a store in Yonkers, NY.

Thanks for the help.
I couldn't seem to access the Wine In Due Time site but I ordered more for a couple bucks more from the Allendale store, I've ordered from them before, good service. I also ordered a couple bottles of 2010 Barde Haut at a very good price.

Thanks again to BWE for the assistance in procuring the Brunello.
I ordered from the Allendale Wine Shoppe on Sunday evening.
Within an hour after my order -- on Sunday evening -- my order was "ready for shipping," with a UPS code, it went out on Monday, and I got it on schedule today, wednesday. I've ordered from them before with similar A+ service. Nice prices, too!

Good going, Jim!

Today I bought a few more 2010 Brunello: 2 bottles of Banfi and 6 bottles of Conti Costanti at a local "$1 over cost sale".

Plus 82 bottles of other stuff.
