Personally I bought very very little despite it having the profile of a vintage I would/should like.

Perhaps that will change.

But the reality is that most of us have too much as it is, and there isn't much difficulty in procuring this later.

I saw that GerryM shared the scoop on the 01 Suduiraut for $75 recently....basically the same inflation adjusted price I paid EP 15 years ago.

Not much point in paying up early if that's what's happening....

I didn't buy any 2015 Bordeaux. And I'm not even Chinese.

My age and the size of my current holdings would likely have held me back even if prices had been 20% lower.

Well I am 37 and I only bought a cs of the 2015 Clinet but am on the same page as Arv as I have enough wine to last me the next 30 years or so with the sole exception exception being in white wine / champagne offerings. There are a couple of other estates that were released during the first several weeks of the campaign at more digestible <30% markups over their 2014 counterparts that I am considering adding such as the Pape Clement, Giscours, Malescot, SHL, Haut Bailly, DdC and Larcis Ducasse but over the past few months have chose to spend those funds elsewhere. And I think that the main reason I have not pulled the trigger on any of these fine offerings has to do with the fact that I think that those wines will inevitably still be available in 2018 when they hit our shores and shelves at approximately the same price, so why should I spend my money buying those wines today? And I would agree that the campaign certainly fell flat on its face when estates started taking bigger than 30% price hikes as it definitely changed my mood towards the campaign as well.
