It is real blood, but the injuries are typically self inflicted with razor blades.

I am friends with Tahmiene Momtazi....I was excited to see her Asha pinot make the WS top 100 list a few years back...stressed her out a bit though!

All I know is that Momtazi bottling of St. Innocent really hits a sweet spot for me. At least in 2012. I ordered six more bottles of the 2012 St. Innocent Momtazi Vineyard for $34.99 each from the Wine House in California, where I ordered my last 6 bottles from. I got my first batch from MacArthur's but they are sold old. It just really seems to be great quality at a reasonable price, seems to easily match Burgs in the same price range. They also seem like they could age for quite a long time. They have great, um, "purity."

Buying directly from SI is even cheaper if you order a case, and cheaper still if you are a wine club member.
