2016 Harvest

Post by AKR »

It sounds like the disaster which has afflicted other regions in France has spared Bordeaux.

Still a very dry year according this short article.

Birth year for my daughter, so I'll be paying attention. I had to lay down some Ridge Monte Bello instead of claret for my son, born in 2013 as he was.

The 2013 Sauternes/Barsac's are well reviewed by NM, and are likely to be inexpensive, given the poor regard the reds are held in. I quite liked a 13 Carmes de Rieussec which was an easy B+ effort, and only $10/half at Costco once.

But 2013 in Napa/Sonoma is very good.
