The 2012 Chateau Corbin has been uncorked….

Very nice youthful nose upon immediate opening.
Brings back fond memories of our 2015 visit to the chateau.

Corbin is an old school producer, neh? Or at least Gilman says so, with his 18th Century palate.

LOVE this wine, I have six more 750s in the cellar and I'm about to pull the trigger on another dozen half bottles from MacArthur's.
Also, I tasted the 2012 Barde Haut ONE more time in 2016 last night. Outstanding, yet again.

Danny, Ian, Maureen or Tim, can you post some of the pictures here from our visit at Chateau Corbin in 2015?

Sigh, what a great day that was….

Who is that short-haired guy in the picture?

That haircut is so 1960. Where's the 1969 hairdo?

I definitely have that Mad Men look going on in the Chateau Corbin picture.

I took a couple selfies with a couple of my fellow "country lawyer" criminal defense lawyers the other day, one in court with George Hess, and the other after hours with Don Hornblower…. Much more 1969….

Lose the tie, and that mop-top says Woodstock!

You almost looks blonde in those photos. In the Caribbean, you would definitely be a "rubio".

Somewhere Tim has a pic of me and Annabelle way back in early 2004 in NYC….

Crazy.

It's weird, somebody else said it looked blond the other day.
In the summer it definitely changes color.
But it is much more grey than blond, sadly….
But, hey, that's okay, George Clooney's hair is grey too.

So the Robert Redford movie on the life of Jim How is coming out in 2017, who is gonna play me!
Nobody has told me, but the actors are all going to be A-list I'm told, so it should be interesting….

The wine is not complex. It is no Barde Haut. It is like a right bank Les Grands Chenes.
Very enjoyable, solid, in its youth.
An "old school producer…."
I have no idea why anyone would focus on aging this wine.
It is exquisite now. It has lots of nice pleasant right bank fruit.
Hard to see this getting any better.
I'm going to go ahead and order those 12 half bottles for consumption in the next year or two ahead.
Rating: 91 points.

Tragically, I cut my hair today for the first time in a year.
Back to the 1963 Mad Men buzz cut look.

I have the JC Northway look going on, Jon.
I shit you not, Justice MaryGay Kennedy said today in open court, in front of about 75 people, "You look so handsome today, Mr. Howaniec…."

Ah, I crack myself up sometimes.
What a great life!
