Oh man, I remember that 1981 Lafite was a beauty back when I used to drink my Lafites.
Happy New Year Ian and Maureen!

Happy New Year, Ian, and to all BWEers!

We'll drink mostly Champagne. NV Bollinger, 2002 Pol Roger, and whatever Judd pulls. Probably Judd and I will finish the 2003 Rabaud Promis we started last night.

Just reflecting back it has been a tumultuous year and I as I found myself in contemplative mood to kick off the evening I instinctively reached for the melancholic, mercurial, iconic, prophetic, late Leonard Cohen...and the haunting 'steer your way'

We just have to carry on regardless

Happy New Year to you all!

PS if you drink Mark Aubert you have to drink him out of these glasses

Normally Delamotte Brut, 2008 Albert Grivault Meursault 1er Cru Clos des Perrières, and I'm not fixed on the red yet.

Happy New Year to our BWEers from UK, and to all other around the World.
