For those that think the US Elections were crazy, just look at the French elections.

Benoit Hamon today won the nomination for the Socialist Party. He is considered to be the French version of Bernie Sanders.

Francois Fillon, the right-wing conservative that won the Republican primary, is now deeply embroiled in a scandal over payments made to his wife.

Le Pen has gained ground but still only captures around 30 percent of the overall vote.

And Emmanuel Macron is the dark horse in the whole thing, running as an independent.

Crazy politics!

It's been long forgotten by now, but some of you might remember M. Le Pen when she was in David Lee Roth's classic Hot For Teacher video. (He was an American rap star from the Reagan era)

That was Marine Le Pen? That's as crazy (but in a funny way) as the current state of global politics, which is crazy in a deeply disturbing way.

And David Lee Roth is a rocker, not a rapper.

The French élections are going to be really exciting this year.

It is practically a foregone conclusion that Marine Le Pen will make the second round.

But with whom?

Tim can vote, while I cannot. If I could, it would be for Emmanuel Macron.
