What is the word on the 2014 vintage?

Pagani Ranch as well?

I've not had any 2014s from Ridge, but I've heard some good vibes for the 14 Geyserville. Others have said the 14 Lytton Springs was too ripe.

TomHill, a long time Ridge fan, recently posted that the 14 Pagani was a mess.

Had both '13 and '14 Geyserville. 2014 is more classic and has a higher than usual Carignan content, I think. Liked both vintages, but '14 gets the nod from me as a lover of old-school Zin....wins with food.

Jim
i've been a fan of Ridge for a very long time....it was one of the first American wines that opened my eyes to Zinfandel.

still hold bottles of the 1991 Monte Bello, 2000 Monte Bello although those are Cabernet based.

recent drank a 2001 Lytton Springs and it was superb and could easily go another 5+ years...wish i had more.

one of my local wine shops had a good amount of 2014 Geyserville and Lytton ($32) and i've bought a case of the Geyserville and a few bottles of the Lytton....did pop a Geyserville in the name of science and agree with above comment that similar to the 2001 its a more classic style with a good bit of fruit to easily age 15-20 years.

Thanks for the report, Emil, I bought 6 bottles of the 2014 Ridge Geyserville from MacArthurs at $32 each.
I've enjoyed the 2012 and 2013 vintages.

Lol, I guess I followed your lead. I just picked up another 6 bottles at Total Wine for the same price. I really loved the 2013 and after all the positive comments on the 2014 I just had to grab some.

Well done, Gerry, see my note in the other thread, I enjoyed the 2014 Ridge Geyserville as much as the 2012 and 2013... which is a lot, especially at the price.
