I love older Dominus and I really wish I could have made it to this years convention and met a lot of you.

I like it, Chris.

Let's make this simple and say 90s Cali Cab v 90s Medoc.

For Sat I'm bringing a mag of 96 Montrose and a mag of 02 Leo. Barton; both have been held since release.

I don't think it will be practical for me to double decant ahead of time, so hopefully we will have some decanters on site.

Sadly, I will miss the midweek activities.

To better pair with the Dominus and Insignia, the Martins instead will bring the 91 Dunn Howell Mtn Cab and the 92 Togni Cab.

I'll also bring a 1986 Lafaurie Peyraguey for Saturday and another non-Sauternes dessert wine for Friday.

On Friday, I don't have any 90's cabs but I do have a 2002 Peter Michael Les Pavots, if that is acceptable.

On Saturday, I will bring the 1982 GPL and 2001 Ch. de Myrat for Arv. and probably a 1996 Brodeaux.

BTW Bill, I'm looking forward to the 82 La Lagune. As I recall it had a very Bergundian nature in its youth. A splendid wine.

A past 1989 BWE WOTY on Thursday? Let me know if it is the Lafite. I might change my plans...

I'll confirm in the coming days what I will bring for Fri and Sat.

Hope there are no whoopie pies, as I remember the result of this equation :

BWE + California + whoopie pies + Nic = ......

I was planning on the 90 Filhot CdT, in honor of Ed, for Friday. Sauternes tend to get lost on Saturday. My other Saturday wines other than the 82 Canon, in honor of Howard, and the 82 La Lagune, in honor of Bill and Lucie, are, tentatively, 79 Cos d’Estournel and 86 Domaine de Chevalier. For Friday, in addition to the Filhot and 91 Phelps Insignia are two Special Selection wines from St Innocent, 06 7 Springs, in honor of Nic, and 08 Momtazi, in honor of Jim.

For Wednesday at my house (as originally announced):

1947 Drouhin Laroze Clos de Beze
1957 Doudet-Naudin Corton
1959 Brotte CdP
1967 Chateux de la Gardine CdP

For Friday night:

2002 Gosset Champagne Celebris
1971 Barisone Barolo
2001 Foley Cab (not quite 90's, but a Parker 100 pointer that actually ought to be pretty good)

For Saturday night:

1996 Philipponnat Champagne Clos de Goisses
1964 Chateaux Canon
1967 Montrose

I am so ready!

Looks like a wonderful event shaping up and that Thurs night lineup looks amazing. I'm sure that this and Wed nights events will get the weekend rolling.

We've been scrambling up here trying to recover from a crazy weekend of call and dealing with a sick mother in Toronto who's sitting in the ER dealing with complex medical issues going on for some time but coming to a head over the last weeks. Still not sure whether its her cancer issue or other at this time but putting some added stress on travelling at this time. Regardless as of now we're still planning on being in San Fran as planned and looking forward to seeing everyone Friday night if not in the halls or streets sooner.

Plan to bring for Friday night 2005 L Jadot Clos de Urseles and 1998 Chapoutier La Sizeranne. Saturdays wines 2000 Cos d'Estournel and 1997 de Fargues that can be added to the building list.

Normally, I will have a 1992 Dalla Valle Cab for Friday night + one more bottle that I still have to figure.

On Saturday, should have a 1990 Chateau Rausan Ségla + another red Bordeaux.

I also have a 2006 Taittinger Comtes de Champagne and a 1986 Chateau de Fargues, that can be add either Friday or Saturday, where we need it.

If there is some pre-dinner warmup, i have one or two mystery wines...

I would be really happy if Burgundies and other Pinots are tasted blind and see how each one stacks up. Granted, each one has its own, but if you all can do the blind tasting and see what each domaine and winemaking skills has to offer...Looking forward to seeing the notes and impressions...

Hard to do in that venue, CV. It is a free-for-all on Friday and on Saturday after a structured tasting (which we are not doing this year).

I understand...I am eager to see unbiased impressions of the Pinots....I am also really excited....

Please start separate threads for each day festivities...That way, it's easy to compare each BWEr's notes....

For Friday and Saturday, I am most likely bringing:

Friday:
2014 SC Pannell Koomilya Shiraz (McLaren Vale Australia)
2010 De Bortoli Noble One Semillon (Riverina Australia)

Saturday:
1978 Haut Brion
1981 Leoville Las Cases

Sorry I missed the 82 theme, I had to pick out my cellar wines several weeks ago before I left for Australia...

And after seeing all the Haut Brion coming on Saturday, I am swapping out my 1964 Canon for a 1964 Haut Brion.

Tim, after all the 1964 glories you have shared with me (including Latour and Cheval Blanc), you need a very generous pour of 1964 Haut Brion.
