After a sunny day, of cross country skiing, and shovelling some snow on the patio (limitee quantity, no energy)...

I would called that village Chablis a "virgin Chardonnay". Virgin in a good way, like a mix of the British Virgin Islands and Madonna's " Like a Virgin".

Very light yellow, medium nose of shells, white flowers, white honey, green lemon, and some star fruit. Good mouth, well balanced, pear flavors, flowers, pollen, clean, virgin, and that nice light bitter mineral shell finish. Went very well with the meal. Well done Mr Moreau. Tn: 89-90.

And all that for a mere 25$ cad... If I would be a producer down south in Bourgogne, I think i would wonder to have a trip to Chablis, and share some good hints.

And yes, I'll be happy to leave the snow for a few days in northern California.

A physical and mental rest during those few days, and just fun.

I'll try to have a few mystery wines from pre-dinner events...

Good producer, and good value - we get this in our local supermarket, sometimes for £10.99
