To me the Lytton Springs is very classy, seems more in balance, not as over the top as the racy Geyserville. At least in 2014.
But I love the Geyserville as well.
But the Lytton Springs seems more balanced altogether.
The old "who would you take home to your mother" argument.
I like Lytton Springs more than Geyserville.

Both are always excellent, and very tough to say which is your favorite. I think I personnally gave the edge to the Geyserville 75 % of the time, but just by a hair.
Like when I compare J. Suckling with Jimhow. I prefer one over the other by a hair...

Now I see the 2015 Ridge Geyserville is available, what is the word about that wine?

Most of the time California's north coast vintages are very good. It's probably more the rarity that they are not. Maybe 2-3 times every couple of decades.
I'm not sure about the other areas here, generally not involved, although I like some of the pinots emerging from the southern areas now. I like them enough to drink them, not enough to search them out diligently.
