St. Innocent: 2014 or 2015?

What is the word on these two vintages?
I've enjoyed the 2014 Momtazi, was thinking of buying some 2014 Shea, but was wondering how the 2015 vintage compares.

The only 14 I had from SI is Shea at a wine bar dispenser. It seemed kinda big and I was not sure of what to make of it. In general 14 and 15 were hot vintages.

Despite my predisposition to Burgundy, I like the 2014s more than the 2013s. Maybe I need more fruit as my taste buds atrophy with age. I ordered 2015 Shea and Zenith Special Selections but nothing else so far. I have not tasted any 2015 yet. Maybe stefanJr will chime in.

Stefan emailed me and said I should check out this thread and respond. Unfortunately, I've been slow to work through the 2015 St. Innocents so far, so I can't compare them to 14 well yet. I did buy the 2015 special selections after tasting in barrel, but I missed the spring release party this year that featured some of the regular 2015 bottlings.

I've really enjoyed all of the 2014 St. I's, and don't think you can go wrong there. I agree 2014 has a warm vintage character, reminding me more of 06 than the hotter 03 (or even 09). I'll have to work through some 2015s this summer to assess the two vintages head to head better.

Thanks stefanJR, I think I'll go ahead and buy some 2014 Shea.

If you can wait, I'll be up at St. Innocent around August 22 to collect by recent purchase.
