In 2015, we had a great dinner there, but after a very long day of visits and tastings, everybody were exhausted. They opened great vintages of their wine for us, but the tired BWEers were kinda numb.

Dark red color. Nose is of the purest blackcurrants and blackberries you can imagine. With soft spices, thyme, smokey blackfruit. Intense.

The mouth has a full velvety fruity texture. Lots of ripe tannins, blackcurrants, minerals. Meat, spices, lot of definition here. Even at that young age. Licorice, more minerals, more fruit, long structured final. Light alcohol feeling of the 14% but still has some freshness. A distinctive great wine. Better than the 09 Cantemerle, 09 Malartic Lagravière or 09 Giscours. Equal to the 09 Smith Haut Laffitte. A hair under 09 Pichon Baron or 09 Pontet Canet. A great Saint-Julien. Tn: 96+. Will be even more impressive in 10-15 years.
