I had a earthy, down to earth, spicy, blueberry, blackberry, darker than my eye, long long, woody, but still fruity and earthy, 2012 Chateau Beausejour Duffau tonight.

A sleepy 92 points wine, that promises to be + 3 or 4 points in 10 years.

A very long wine in mouth.

This really was a quality little wine....to be fair, it will never be the most complex wine, but the charm was completely overwhelming... sad that I can only get this here in Dallas since they do not ship.

RobertGoulet: is the wine associated with Figeac? or is it just around the general area? I have not heard of it. I've had a few other St Em's with 'Figeac' in the name and - at least to me - they don't all have the leafy notes of Figeac.

Nicklass: B-D is a wine we rarely see comments on! Where's RobD when we need him?

check out this label....how could this be anything other than the fabled chateau figeac?

but it's not, just smart marketing because I was fooled..I had sort of given up on right bank because the travesty of overripened wine, though this little wine offers me hope for the right and shall haunt my dreams for sometime

The Franc Petit Figeac look nice, and tasty.

I'll revisit the 2012 Beausejour Duffau tomorrow and post a full report.
