From La Clape area in Coteaux du Languedoc. Mainly syrah and mourvedre, and you can't deny that. Medium red color, with that nice nose dominated by the ripe syrah, big fruit, smoke, herbs romarin, blue grape, garrigue herbs, cherries. Mouth is nice, with a smoky cherry attack, lilac, soap, licorice flavors. Soft structure, good concentration of fruits. Finish is mineral and leather from the mourvedre. Decent length, old wood on the final. Very good and prove what Languedoc can produce at a reasonable price. Tn: 88.

I think I had their Numismae bottling a long time ago. Quite solid.
Hard to find, but look up some of Rene Rostaing's Languedoc efforts.
His syrah wines are like baby Cote Roties, and although on the higher price points for their AOC, are still good values. They'll age too.
