While those with more traditional leaning palates need not read further  I popped this open tonight to go alongside some burgers on the grill. Decanted the 2008 Troplong Mondot for an hour and it needed it. This opens up with an aromatic nose of blackberry liqueur, dark chocolate and wet stone that leads way to a jam packed mouthful of sweet, ripe blackberry licorice showcasing a range of expression that lingers ever so effortlessly. 94 points

One of my minions has invented another usage - delivery device for Nutella.

You don't want to drop that thing on the floor.

Fortunately they haven't discovered Trop yet, as that could get expensive.

2008 Troplong, a versatile wine! Looks delicious.

Last Troplong I tried was the 2006, and I did not liked at all. Very charcoal style.
