When was the last time that a vintage ending in 7 rose to the forefront? None in my recollection. 2017 no different but there are likely some hidden gems spared the ravages of Spring frost.

Can't say that I've ever had a 47 Nic.
The only thing 1957 had going for it that it was my birth year!!
1967 had Expo in Montreal.
1977 Glen Campbell rose to the top of the charts with Southern nights and supersonic flight Concorde's first landing in NYC.
Exactly 30 years today Oct 19, 1987 the DOW index plunged 22.6% in one day....Black Monday....hold on to your hats with futures down 100pts before the bell!!! Maybe the wines weren't so bad by comparison.
1997 Princess Diana died in a car crash Aug 31st in Paris.
2007 The 110th United States Congress convenes, electing Nancy Pelosi as the first female Speaker of the House in U.S. history now there's a great moment!

7's seem to be very inauspicious

2007 Lagrange was the best Lagrange of the decade, with the possible exception of the 2000.

Jim,
I have a case of 2007 Lagrange sitting in the storage unit.
It went for a song at auction her in Singapore as everyone said in Singlish: "2007 no good vintage lah".
So it got it for about $US15 a bottle.
Not tried, so what drinking window do you suggest?

PS:
SInglish is the local term for a slang, Chinese infused version of English where e sounds like r, e sounds like a and several other letters I can't comprehend even after 8 yrs.
