Another 2002 Gloria

This is my 3rd or 4th bottle from the 2016 MacArthur’s Heist, and I’m continually amazed how good this is. The bouquet is expressive showcasing mint, a touch of brown sugar and dark chocolate, a hint of capsicum, and earthy notes. The palate is easy going, smooth and rounded with good substance,yet juicy and bright with a good, leafy finish. This won’t make old bones — there’s a touch of brown on the rim— but honestly, this is so good now, why wait? Drink now and over the next 5+ years.
