Ah I'm stuffed with two servings of turkey and all the fixings, and two slices of apple pie to boot.
I brought the wines:

2004 Lafon Rochet
2015 Charvin
2014 St. Innocent Momtazi
2012 Brunello Il Poggione
2012 Barde Haut
2005 Jadot 1er Cru
2007 Lafaurie Peyraguay.

A beautiful November day in the Great State of Maine.
(We even had our congressman, Bruce Poliquin, there again this year at the head of the table.)
All of the wines shined, a splendid afternoon/evening.

They were all drunk up, Nicola, I liked this bottle of the Charvin better than the last one I had a few weeks back.
But that 2005 Jadot to me is just pure class.

Momtazi thoughts?

Big fan of the 2014 Momtazi, I bought 6 bottles, then bought another case.
May buy more. The girl from Momtazi says she likes the '14.
As young as it is, it always seems to be a crowd favorite when I include it among multiple bottles at various gatherings.

Happy Holidays Jim. Looks like a really nice gathering. Here in MD it was just my wife, my daughter and me, but still a wonderful afternoon catching up and enjoying being together.

Nice selection of wines, BD. 2014 Momtazi always pleases.

After a couple of Charles Ellner Champagnes (2004 Prestige and 2006 Seduction) we concentrated on SI wines. The 2003 Shea was my favorite, although the 2004 Chehalem Reserve was also a treat and the 2015 Shea makes me wonder if having 20 bottles of 2015 Shea and Shea Special Selection is enough.

Interesting on the 03, a vintage that in the past did nothing for me. Did you open any other SI?

03, 04 and 05 7 Springs and 05 7 Springs SS. The 03 7 Springs was unimpressive. Curiously, the SS, being too oaky, was the worst of the others.

I am a big fan of the 05 7S and 7S SS

I'm thinking of buying 4 bottles of the '15 Shea and 8 more bottles of the '14 Momtazi.
I really like that 2014 Momtazi. It seems a bit more accessible than the outstanding 2012 but it has a freshness and vibrancy that is very appealing.
