Thursday March 22nd diner

Post by Nicklasss »

Trying to boost the enthusiast a bit. So the quick countdown:

Winona chief (yes) and marjorie (thu or fri?)
Marcs
Jimhow
Stefan and lucie
Rob and susan
MichaelP (wasn't sure?)
JeanFred
Nicklasss

Is 1998 still a decent theme for that night? It will be hard to source in DC area for me who doesn't have any 1998 left.

People can bring any Bordeaux.
If you have 1998R/Graves that’s great, if not no big deal

That's right, I think the theme will be GOOD Bordeaux. Champagne, too.

I will bring a Chartogne-Taillet Champagne for Thursday. A little producer that make very good bubbly.

For the Bordeaux, I'm still searching...

I thought the 1998 Bordeaux tasting was for Saturday, before the free-for-all avalanche. Did that change or did I get the message wrong?

It is me who lost track. So 1998 Saturday, and I'm waiting Winona Chief lead for Thursday night theme. Chris already wrote good Bordeaux and Champagne. More precise, or letting it very open?

Ok, Ok, I'll get back to work on that. Don't worry, there will be a great Thursday night dinner. Scouting out Black Salt tonight.

It would be nice to eat next door to MacArthur's. I always worry about running out of wine at BWE dinners.

We had an epic BWE lunch at Black Salt a few years ago....

Looking forward to seeing the North Carolinians again, it has been too long!
