I've been enjoying these Chateauneuf du Papes, this was one of my favorites.
The 15.5% alcohol was well contained, it is a rich, quite big wine with cherries, strawberries, licorice, garrigue.
Still young but where I like it for my taste.
Lots of sediment.
Great stuff!

I am generally a buyer of this wine and have an unopened case of this vintage sleeping in the cellar, thanks for the note and maybe it’s time for me to pull a btl ...

I generally buy it in good years. Overall, I find this producer an excellent value. The Papet does need time so no surprise the 09 tastes young.

These wines are smoking good....had both a 2009 and a 2010 lately that were both great. I'm not a fan of CDP with too much age on them, so both vintages are drinking perfectly for my tastes right now.

Many of the red wines from France have been approachable relatively young so I'm not surprised that this one was drinking well. The Papet tends to have great fruit.

Yeah I bought about 18 nice Chateauneufs from MacArthurs couple years ago, mostly 2012s, I've had about 6 of them recently, they've been delicious, I think this was the best one yet.
