Very interesting but unfortunately, I don't understand why not more 2014 are available here. It seems to me that our provinvial wine stores have take decision to sell en primeur, and what has been bought will be delivered to customers, but they did not buy more to have some in the stores.

I only have a few 2014 and it will probably stay like this.

I'm happy to read good comment for the GPL, even if i don't own any. But i have few Meyney.

I purchased a fair amount of 2014 (relatively speaking) . It's seems to be my new type of year. Left Bank oriented. Praised but in the shadow of 2015 and 2016. Decently priced. I made the correct decision if this article is correct. Thanks for the link Ian.

Nic is right both in Quebec and Ontario there are few 2014s available as after 2013 both provinces bought and sold mostly on the futures market for 2014.

I picked up a number of cases but mainly based on our visit in 2015 where the Canon and Figeac showed very well along with Pichon Baron and Pontet Canet. I paid no attention to the Lynch after being turned off by our visit but looks like it is a winner in Pauillac for the year. A few enablers recommended Meyney and Rauzin Segla. d'Aghuile has been a perennial staple along with Vielle Curé so not looking for any additions especially with the 2015 futures to arrive soon.

We recently tasted the 2014 GPL, wasn't showing much, hard to judge

I had the 2014 GPL early when it first hit the shelves and it was very good. Delicate but powerful. Unmistakably left bank Bordeaux but the red-fruited quality and delicacy was such that it really felt like a transition to a post-Parker style. Maybe it has shut down now though. As Jim would no doubt tell me, you can't trust a GPL.

But I went long on 2014s due to the prices and what seemed like an interesting new low-alcohol style. Almost two cases, a lot for me. Damage is:

4*GPL
4*Leoville Barton
4*Pichon Lalande
4*Cos d'Estournel
3*Domaine de Chevalier
2*Canon
2*Calon Segur

Plan is to wait until at least 2024 to start opening

All I can say is the $10 2014 Ch. l'Argenteyre, Medoc (Costco) was great. Full bodied, dry, ripe. 50% cabernet. If this is exemplary, earnest 2014s should be way more than serviceable, and a place to look for relative bargains among the better-reputed names.

I have a case of 2014 Cantemerle somewhere, K&L I believe.

For my taste, 2014 is better overall than 2001 and 2006. Both aren't excellent on both banks but 2014 is precisely like that.

2014 has a remarkable acidity which assures long, long life. Also a 100% textbook Bordeaux vintage. 2014 Cos d'Estournel tasted in April 2018 at the property was simply stunning!

I bought several wines en primeur in this vintage.

I love the 2014 vintage.
With the possible exception of 2010, it is my favorite vintage since 2002.
