42 Anniversary tonight.

Post by William P »

Yes, it's the big 42 Anniversary. I think I'll try a 2000 Ch. Gruaud LaRose, just because I have a few and its recent reception on Cellartracker has been mixed. As I recall the last time I had this wine, GLR was not lack for anything. We'll see. I'll BBQ some fillets, langoustine, home grown tomatoes in a Caprese Salad, and of course a baked potato.

Congrats! 2000 GLR seems a bit young for a 42nd wedding anniversary to me, but I like my BDX with a lot of age.

Happy Anniversary Bill. I recently had the 2000 Gruaud and found it delicious, with beginning complexity, but it took an hour to open up.

Happy aniversary, Bill!
2000 Gruaud is a very nice wine.
It gets mixed reviews on cellartracker because the 2000 was produced during that two-decade window in which Parker was down on the estate.

Oops, the wife is in the mood for a Burg. Maybe a 2002 Échezeaux. Such is life. Thank you for the well wishes.
