Yquem is Yquem

Post by Nicklasss »

This famous sentence, is from my brother, when we had 2 split of 1999 Yquem at Jal's place in 2006.

Last night opened a 1996 Yquem and again, an incredible near perfect and complex Sauternes. Light gold, superb nose of citrus, honey, acacia flowers, peaches, quince, vanilla... mouth is concentrated but also with a good splash of acidity. All kind of flavors, with roasted botrytis, honey, all kind of fruits. Sweet but balanced and with some confit green lemon. Excellent. Tn: 95.

What a great excuse for buying Yquen!

"We need Yquen to get us over the pain of opening a corked bottle."
