2 things you really need to know

Post by Nicklasss »

Wow.

Êtes-vous vraiment dimanche?

Nic

P.s. Jal, and other that can read french................hope you can appreciate, comme une étoile au fond d'un trou. Ferrat.

Surprised the LLC was ready.

The 2 things I really need to know:
1) Where did I leave my keys?
2) What was the question again?

Now to look for those keys...
Best

Happy New Year to all BWE.
And may even the non-poets among us enjoy many more years of health and happiness.

Remember that my cellar is a bit warmer than what is recommended, i guess my wines are aging a little bit faster at 16 C vs the recommended 11-12 C. So I guess i should open my Bordeaux between 12 and 20 years old.

That 2004 Chateau Léoville Las Cases last night was just singing! A perfect example of that great wine on a good vintage. Dark color, superb perfumed nose of blackcurrants, violet flowers, some spices, some light vanilla oak, noble wood, black plums, and something like coal. In mouth, so perfectly balanced and definitively very long on superb blackcurrant fruit. Excellent structure, perfumed final. I really thought I opened it a the very right time. Tn: 94-95.

The 2015 Chateau Brane Cantenac looked youngish a bit after the LLC, but geez with 30 minutes decanting, everything emerged: flowers, red Margaux berries, noble oak, minerals. A bit of cookie dough too. Powerful, concentrated, long, but with that Bordeaux "équilibre". A very good choice for BWE WOTY. Tn: 93.

Happy New Year to everyone on BWE.

Nic

Snowing like crazy here. Maybe the keys are lost under the snow.

Bonne Année a tous aussi.

So instead of New Years in Aspen, and Fireworks and Kanye/Kardashians, our flight got scrubbed, and we are in an airport Best Western, waiting for better weather for tomorrow. I had the hotel's happy hour wines - red or white! - since our luggage with our swill is somewhere in the LAX maze. Sigh.

At least the NYE is with people we love. Things could have been worse.

What was the question?

Oh yes, the keys! You’ve all been drinking too much tonight so I hid them. You can have them when you sober up in the morning.

Happy New Year!
Bone Année!

I had a gulp of some 2015 Brane leftover. 1 minute ago. From a bottle opened 2 days ago.

One possible conclusion: A KILLER.

Woman and man, i tell you, a WOTY contender...

Nic, I hope I will have a chance to drink the WOTY... I had the Giscours 2015 a week ago and Margaux is really awsome in 2015!

And to all BWEers, I wish you a Happy New Years

A tous les membres de BWE, je vous souhaite une bonne année et beaucoup de plaisir en bouteille. Cheers
