2014 Carillon rings my chimes

First bottle of the New Year. This was a gift from Jacques. An extra/backup to one he brought to our dinner in Sarasota last winter. He warned not to risk premox by holding it too long. It was just as wonderful last night as it was last year.

• 2014 Domaine Jacques Carillon Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Champs Canet - France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru (1/2/2019)
  A bit shy on first opening, but as it warms from cellar temp and spends some time in the glass it opens beautifully with a nice nose, pear and peach fruits, wet stones, crisp acidity gives it a great minerally balance, definition and precision, medium finish. Excellent to outstanding.

I think I had a couple of 2006(?) Carillon P-M back when and it was very good.
