Probably the worst Super Bowl halftime show ever. Game sucked, too.

The game was a snoozer.
The halftime show sucked.
Even the majority of the ads were poor.
Peggy's chili kicked ass.

I did not set my alarm but woke up 10 minutes before game time, 1:30 AM here and switched on the TV to see if the game was broadcast in Israel. Unfortunately, it was on METV, so I saw the mess. Romo made one comment that made me think "Hmmmm"; namely, that the Patriots defended as though they knew just what play LA would run. Great coaching?

I didn’t think the game was a snoozer at all.
It was good old smash mouthed defensive football, like in the olden days.
Great defense, great special teams, a night of tense field position battle.
Until the end the teams were either tied or no more than three points apart.
It was like a great pitchers duel.
One of the best games I’ve ever seen.
To me too much offense has ruined football, just like during the steroid era in baseball.
It was great to watch something different, a defensive battle, for a change.

I loved the ad with the new and old time NFL players. Brady telling Mayfield to hold his rings, Montana saying to Michael Irving "No Can Do, Cowboy", Franco Harris, that was great. Gurley ran more in that commercial than during the game.
I despise Belichick and Tom Brady, but Julian Edelman and Robert Kraft are class.
The Rams' offense was pathetic,
The Patriots won this game in the trenches, good play by their O and D lines.
The half time show was not to my liking.

I also thought this was a really good game. I don't mind offense, but good defense adds a whole new dimension to the game, one that is often missing in today's game. But I may be a little old school in what I like. I'm still resenting the introduction of the shot clock in college basketball, and that was over 30 years ago!

I agree Jim. Even the game was not fantastic, it was a great game. The defensive battle was epic for the people who like the not so obvious trench battle between O and D lines. The other game that comes to my mind is the epic defensive battle between Giants and Niners in the NFC championship game when Montana was knocked out for good in the early nineties...

People are more tuned to offensive shows of TB & Co, and it looks like a disappointment. But I enjoyed the constant defensive chess match between Phillips and BB. Boy BB pulled out some defensive schemes that dropped down the NE LBs some times and blitzed sometimes, thoroughly confusing the young coach and the QB all night long. Gilmore earned his 50 mil paycheck with this game.

I am not a pats fan and I am teamless anyway, but I always liked the football minds of BB, McDaniels and TB. Just as a refresh of what BB did in the playoffs, he pretty much shut down the three offensive juggernauts in Chargers, Chiefs and Rams in a row...Now, that is creditable...
