Côtes-du-Rhône Cairanne, with vines oriented on the North side, while almost all other vines of the aoc are oriented South.

That gives an interesting wine, grenache, carignan, syrah and counoise. Dark color, with an evolving nose all grenache to start, dark cherries and herbs, carignan syrah counoise after an hour, with rasberries, blackberries, smoke, meat and blackpepper. Medium power complex nose. Some freshness too. In mouth, very nice with some cool black rasberry flavors, blue fruit, plums, but also some smokey coal, soap, medium structure and that medium long earthy meaty final. I like that type of Rhône, with a superb controlled blend, freshness. Excellent. Tn: 90.
