Completely over the top as always.

I loved the 1999 Clape Cornas I brought, but there were so many great wines. 1958 Inglenook, 1999 Jamet, 1995 Chave Blanc, 2014 Jadot Batard Montrachet, 2006 La Turque (and La Mouline), and so many more.

I love BWE

As a young man from Canada once said, BWE is about the people....

Just a fabulous dinner, with everybody in great shape.

I did not sample that many wines, and my top would be like SF ED the 1999 Cornas from Clape.more later.

Wonderful to see everyone again as always. The freezing rain and snow, arriving exactly as a Tom and I arranged, added some atmospherics and made our Québécois brethren feel right at home.

Lots of sensational wines per usual, but I didn’t focus on the vino as much as usual. I was just having too much fun catching up with the gang.

That said, a few wine standouts for me:
2014 Jadot Batard Montrachet
1995 Chave Hermitage Blanc
1999 Clape Cornas
1985 Dominus
1961 Giordano Barolo
1958 Inglenook Cabernet
1974 Mondavi Cabernet

That 2014 Jadot Batard Montrachet was nothing short of amazing.
Quite possibly my greatest white wine experience ever.
