At my brother's place this weekend. We ate a lot of bbq stuff last night (steaks, chicken wings, ribs, smoked salmon). With all these, two excellent Bordeaux.
The 2004 Clerc Milon was extremely good and is a the right place 15 years after the vintage. No modernity hete, just an excellent blackfruit, mineral and earthy Pauillac. Lot of fruit, lead and very long and structured. Very traditionnal. I seems to like Clerc Milon on regular vintages. Excellent.tn : 93.
The 2006 Sociando Mallet has a greatbtraditionnal style too. Not that much green notes, darkred fruits, blackberries, light moka, licorice and earth. Sligthly less concentrated than the Clerc, but lot of stuff anyway in mouth. Convenient, lighr blue fruit too, with good oak tannins delicious. Tn: 90-91.

I agree on the 04 Clerc.
I have one bottle left from a full case.
In the early days it was a pretty rough wine but in recent years it has smoothed out into a beautiful Pauillac.

Thanks! Awesome reference points.

We've had an 85 and 98 Clerc Milon in somewhat recent times. They were probably better younger.
