Blanquito Recommends Reverse Blanquitoing?

Post by stefan »

Quote without comment from a Blanquito post elsewhere:

For all but a few wines, the 1982s-1988s (including the 86s which still have firm tannins but are fully blossomed IMHO) have been at peak for a while and some have definitely started to fade in the last 5 years or so.

How long does a good Bordeaux stay in its Howquito phase?

And is "Howquito phase" what we once called "plateau of maturity"?

Actually, doesn’t a reverse blanquito mean to drink now? Or is that a negative blanquito?

One of these definitely means ‘drink 5 years ago’.

Is there an overlap between Reverse Blanquito and Forward How?
Does Howquito always occur somewhere during the overlap of reverse blanquito and forward how, or is there some other quantum dimension?
If you walk across the street in midpoint increments, will you ever reach the other side?
