Normally a very reliable and excellent Lalande-de-Pomerol. And in 2016, this doesn't changed.

The wine has that nice deep merlot red color. Still young, the wine has also a medium intensity nose, with a nice complexity already, not that far from a Pomerol (geographically and wine style). Nice restrained red cherries and berries, with blackberries, earthy minerals, light mushrooms, and very light wood aromas. In mouth, good density, concentrated merlot red berries flavors, great soft tannins, light spicy wood. The final is fresh, with rasberries and that very long clay iron and lead finish. Young and austere, promising, we pop n pour tonight and i liked it. But with some decanting or 7 more years, would be even better. Tn: 90+.

Classic and very traditionnal. More charms will come with time, but I'm one of those who likes a bit of severity in my Bordeaux.
