2018 Haut Brisson: Superb!

Post by JimHow »

This wine is absolutely beautiful. Very smooth and elegant and easy to drink right now.
I love these young Bordeaux when they come off the shelves and before they shut down.
It clearly displays great winemaking technique, but if this is an example of the quality of the vintage, then wow!
Very accessible, I wonder how long something like this will age, but who cares!
94 points.

Not a bit over the hill BD?

This wine is not on our list?

Ah, so it is owned by Peter Kwok of Tour St Christophe fame.

I’m surprised how understated the Lafite special label is for 2018, I expected something unique. But then again, perhaps with Lafite, understated and elegant is exactly what you get. I like that Mouton label very much.

I drank a lot of the 2000 over the years. It was owned by the Kwoks back then too IIRC. Kept better than one would have expected.

Mmmm I can’t sing the praises of this enough.
I have absolutely loved the 2016 and 2018 Haut Brisson.
Put me down for a case of the ‘19 as well.
I already bought a case of their 2019 Tour Saint Christophe without tasting it!

Jim's new Lynch : Chateau la Tour Saint Christophe.

I'm not sarcastic, the man knows his Bordeaux stuff. Looking forward the Haut Brisson and Tour Saint Christophe, next time i see them.
